C'mon Ted. Give the Mayor a chance... two years in control just isn't enough to make a positive difference. But, it is to make a negative difference. Forgive me. I live by principles. And I know I should never expect others to live up to those principles. So when I have a problem with something someone does. It may be socially or politically accepted. But I just cannot. I'm not going to mention this person by name. But, I'm sorry. I've never seen a liquor store ROB, SHOOT, KILL anyone or steal someone's car. Crime is always committed by CRIMINALS! Not video games, NOT Don't Snitch T-Shirts, Not by people who watch SCAR FACE! Crime is committed by Criminals. Why is that such a difficult concept to understand. I don't know how people can ever begin to fight crime, or even discuss it. When they refuse to accept that Criminals are the cause! And the only way to stop criminals is to arrest, prosecute and put them away! You have to treat crime as what it is. ILLEGAL. Illegal, or unlawful, describes that which is either
prohibited or not authorized by law. In general, conduct is made illegal by
statute, rule, or regulation. Give a criminal a job. Now he just becomes a criminal with a job! I also cannot understand how, you can ask of someone else. To do something, that you yourself is not willing to do. Let me explain. How can the city? Run an impound lot? While violating City Ordinances? In Government it seems that they only use the rules they want to. And ignore the ones they don't. It completely drives me insane. It's the same as telling your child, "Don't Smoke" or "Don't drink" But you yourself, Drinks a six pack every weekend and smokes a pack a day. This is what is called INTEGRITY! (and yes I know how to spell it) It's Character! It's Leadership. It is not an in depth concept, that requires a college degree, to learn or understand! The Impound lot is being maintained in violation (ie it's illegal) of City Ordinance. While the concept of the city running the impound is a great idea. It's implantation is unlawful. I continually wonder, if the City or the Mayor ever heard or comprehended the meaning behind "TWO WRONGS DON'T MAKE A RIGHT!" Something you should have learned as a child. I'll give you a hint. "If he can do it? Why can't I?" It's the same principle. |
