Ludicrous huh? Talk about laughable! Look at the accusations.

City workers doing campaign work. Painting the park. DUH!

Filling up the Hatch Street sweepers with city water using un metered Fire Hydrants.

It is ok to Paint the Rock anything but Anti Patsy Lou slogans. LOL

Leasing the Vehicles from the dealership. LOL That is too much. The state has no record of any of the painted vehicles being used in the campaign being leased by the campaign. Then there is the outrageous amount of money they paid for each vehicle to be painted. All of them are being used with Dealer Plates. For those who don't understand what that means I'll briefly attempt to explain it. If the campaign was leasing them from the dealer. You cannot lease the Plate! Dealer plates can only be used for specific reasons. Lease, campaign, personal transportation are not on the list.

I'm sorry, but you'll never be able to convince me that someone who has been in this business and is successful at it as she has been. Doesn't know what the legal reasons that dealer plates can be used for.

Oh and BTW Patsy Lou isn't the only candidate doing this. Only they are not running in the Flint area. that person should also be investigated. Oh I'm sorry. The Law only applies to those who don't have the money to fight or influence elected officials.

Group accuses Williamson Senate campaign of felonies

Citizens for Accountable Government in Flint makes charges

WJRT By Cathy Shafran

- (06/06/06)--An ad-hoc group of community activists is accusing the Patsy Lou Williamson Senate campaign of committing a series of felonies and misdemeanor violations of campaign finance laws.

A Williamson spokesman calls the charges "ludicrous." The group calling itself "Citizens for Accountable Government in Flint" is making the charges.

The group is made up of many opponents of Flint Mayor Don Williamson who took issue with his influence in the recent city council election.

Now they've filed complaints against several mayoral appointees they feel have acted illegally in Patsy Lou Williamson's run for State Senate.

"We have every expectation that law enforcement is going to do their job and come out and investigate," said member Kate Fields. "We've provided all the evidence they need."

Fields and her group says they've forwarded a packet of evidence to law-enforcement agencies across the city and state.

The evidence, they say, supports a litany of campaign finance violations, including using city workers to do campaign-related work; using city water for campaign street sweepers; illegally using police to stop people painting anti-Patsy Lou signs on "The Rock"; using sanitation department workers to remove signs of opponents; violating IRS rules by using churches for advertising; and using prohibited corporate contributions like vehicles from Patsy Lou's dealership.

Committee members, however, say they will pursue the charges after the election, whether Patsy Lou is elected or not.

They maintain there's a 30-day period after the election where election results could be reversed if criminal charges were found to be credible.
